Submissions
Chirp Form captures and stores every form submission with a default status, giving you control over how you organize and process responses.
How It Works
When someone submits a form, Chirp Form creates a submission record that includes:
- All form field data
- A submitter identifier hash
- A status label (defaults to “approved”)
- Timestamp information
All submission data is encrypted at rest in our database, ensuring your data remains secure.
Submission Statuses
Each submission has one of three statuses:
pending
Flag submissions that need review or action before processing.
approved
The default status for new submissions.
spam
Flag unwanted or suspicious submissions as spam.
Managing Submissions
Configure Default Status
Set the default status for new submissions in your form settings. This lets you customize the workflow for each form based on your needs.
Update Status in Dashboard
You can change any submission's status directly from the Chirp Form dashboard:
- Navigate to your dashboard or the specific form's submissions
- Select a submission
- Update the status dropdown
- Changes are saved automatically
Security
Encryption at Rest
All submission data is encrypted when stored in our database. This adds an extra layer of protection beyond our standard security measures.
